Right here, last season, we invited you to a festive ball set in the Renaissance era. Tonight, we’re going to celebrate together the essence of popular dance, from global hits to forgotten gems. With no other constraint than to let go in the company of our dance leaders, we’ll sweep away any hesitation to the energy of the brass and the irresistible percussion. It’s jazz and jive, Caribbean groove, the demons of midnight in New Orleans; here we are swept up in Balkan fever, Iranian trance, Italian rock! “Ah, it’s wonderful! Life is beautiful and so are you!” See you at Beaumont en fête with the company “Ne dites pas non, vous avez souri!” – a cinematic reference to the meeting between Frédérick and Garance in Les Enfants du Paradis.

A charming village of fewer than 500 inhabitants, nestled in the heart of the Pays d’Auge region, between Pont-l’Évêque and Deauville in Normandy. Visitors come to discover its typical half-timbered houses in vibrant colors and its history, learn about the figures who have contributed to its renown, stroll through the village streets, enjoy a delicious meal, or browse the boutiques… Close to the Côte Fleurie, in a protected area surrounded by greenery, Beaumont-en-Auge, a village preserved by its rich past, offers a unique panoramic view from its vantage point, perched at 94 meters above sea level, encompassing the Touques Valley, the wooded hills of Villers-sur-Mer, and the Saint-Gatien Forest.

The musicians of the company "Don't Say No, You Smiled" have come together around a shared passion: making people dance! They've drawn from diverse repertoires from around the world, blending timeless melodies with hidden gems unknown to the general public. Meticulous arranging has allowed them to make these melodies their own and offer unique interpretations. The orchestra evokes the ancestral energy of collective dances and presents a borderless ball in five languages. On the program: javas and waltzes, Brazilian and Caribbean grooves, frenetic New Orleans jazz-funk, Balkan fever, Italian rock, and even Iranian trance. Don't say no, you'll dance!
