description

in detail

Walking together through the landscape, listening to the unheard sounds of nature. The four musicians accompany you on an experience that unfolds in space and in motion. Their tempo is that of the step, to the rhythm of percussion gathered along the way; their boundlessness, that of our imagination carried by the breath of the winds and the fiddling spirit of the countryside, in a reality enhanced by the sound of things, the song of the bird, the rustling of the tree.

Welcome to the Bois du Breuil

Perched on the hills overlooking Honfleur and the Seine Bay, the Bois du Breuil offers a breathtakingly beautiful escape into the wild. In this protected natural area, the atmosphere becomes almost magical from the very first steps. Beneath the vast canopy where centuries-old oaks, majestic beeches, and tall maritime pines stand side by side, the soft light bathes the paths in a mysterious gentleness. The Bois du Breuil, located on the hills between Honfleur and Pennedepie, is a 120-hectare protected natural area belonging to the Conservatoire du Littoral (Coastal Conservancy). Open year-round, it offers magnificent family-friendly hiking trails, remarkable for their diverse forests (pines, oaks, beeches) and the blooming of its famous rhododendrons in spring.

Matthieu Prual and his companions will take you on a roughly 2 km walk, offering a fresh perspective on these familiar landscapes, accompanied by music created spontaneously. "Taking you on a walk with me and my sounds is like opening the door to my studio, to this intimate space where I practice poetic observation, launching my sounds into the air to capture echoes, intertwining plants and riverbanks, winds, birdsong and engine noises, sustained by the breath of walking, my mind completely empty, ready for all perceptions." - Matthieu Prual

Matthieu Prual Matthieu Prual works in the musical world as a saxophonist, clarinetist, composer, and improviser. Over time, he has developed a unique and expressive voice, always in search of music, seeking a sophisticated language drawn from both innovative, contemporary, and improvised music, as well as music rooted in oral tradition and linked to humanity's most primal expressions.

Yurie Hu Yurie Hu is a musician, improviser, and composer originally from South Korea. A graduate of the Tours Conservatory (Jazz à Tours), she studied classical, jazz, and contemporary and improvised music. She has had the opportunity to perform in numerous venues and festivals internationally. A founding member of several projects such as "YachtClub," "La Battue," and "Trio Peuple Fiction" with Fantazio, she continues to create projects in a variety of styles: "Vauguent" – contemporary music, "Séismes" – improvised music, "Louves" – Renaissance and Scandinavian music, and "HanMari" – neoclassical solo piano.

Toma Gouband Toma Gouband, drums, percussion, singing stones, develops his language and instruments, leading him to perform around the world. “I use the sounds of pebbles collected here and there, and try to play a fabric of interwoven, multi-speed rhythms, independent chants, with numbers and their relationships arranged in a circular pattern as a fertile ground for the emergence of forms.”

Gabriel Lemaire Gabriel Lemaire is a saxophonist, clarinetist, improviser, and composer. He currently participates in numerous projects ranging from solo performances to large orchestras. These include the trio YA SO MA, the duo ARQUES/LEMAIRE, the MACHAUT saxophone quartet, the ensemble MA T, MARCEL ET SOLANGE, WALABIX, and the GRAND ORCHESTRE du TRICOT. In addition, he collaborates with various artists in theater, dance, and performance art. He co-founded the TRICOLLECTIF collective, bringing together musicians from Orléans and Paris around improvised music.
