À propos de l'évènement
Of course we had the founding storms of Beethoven's cello and piano sonatas; the lyrical singing of Schubert's Arpeggione sonata. Less capricious than the violin, a substitute under the bow of the vocal cords, the cello and piano duo repertoire seems to start from there, from a swing between the firm affirmation of a voice and dilution into the ineffable. It is also the realm of transcription: from the violin to the clarinet, from the first sparks to the last fires of romanticism, from almost nothing to the Proustian phrase, the sonata for cello and piano is at home everywhere.
The space of the Greniers à sel suits the two young performers who know each other by heart: the marine framework with the varnished wood of Bruno Philippe, the acoustics of bare stone with the vocal essence of the piano of Tanguy de Williencourt.
