À propos de l'évènement
The thrill rests first of all on the sound texture of the Musiciens de Saint-Julien. The flutes of conductor François Lazarevitch, the virtuoso work on the ornaments – to our ears a sometimes biting modernity – give grain and sap to this fruity, woody dance, which recalls the taste of apple picked from the tree . It is said that birds sing better the more they sing in their family tree: countertenor Tim Mead is a bird from England, “the most beautiful island”, and Purcell his native language. Spontaneous in its energy, refined in its poetry and popular in its pulsation, this music has been playing for everyone for more than three centuries.Fairest Isle,
The Musicians of Saint-Julien are in residence at the Volcan, national stage of Le Havre. They are approved by the Ministry of Culture – DRAC of Normandy and benefit from the support of the Normandy Region and the City of Le Havre.
