À propos de l'évènement

Opening the festival on July 14 cannot be done on the sly! It will therefore be a big free ball in the gardens of the Bishopric in the company of the Curious Bards. With violin and viol, harp and cittern, transverse and Irish flutes, these five bards have a taste – and a little more than curiosity – for traditional Celtic and Gaelic music of the Baroque period. Erudite and sharp in their field, they have beautiful manners, lively, muscular, jubilant: their music is an invitation to get up, dance until you are thirsty and drink cervoises in moderation. This baroque and popular “trad ball” is hosted by Mathias Ferber, the French Touch master of Scottish Dance , who will introduce us to a few jig steps and reel figures. We will even listen, between two wild variations, to the Greek mezzo-soprano Ilektra Platiopoulou placing her solar voice on the horizon.
