WEDNESDAY 23 JULY

(c)- Olivier Lalane
8 PM: CONCERT
silver reflections, clear gulfs
in detail
The lacquered bodywork of Joséphine Ambroselli's piano taxi hides its game well: at the wheel of the black and white keyboard, the musician shows us all the colors on the songs of Prévert and Kosma. Pink and green, yellow and white, like the century-old park and the restored bricks of the Château de la Bribourdière, the festival's new, spiffy venue. A passenger with multiple personalities – a schoolgirl, a lover, a grumpy diva – Fiona McGown sings in a refreshing voice these very lively sheets of musical poetry shared with the children, under the moved gaze of parents and grandparents who say to themselves "you see, I haven't forgotten anything"... So as long as there are schools all around the world, blue-eyed whales and a whole bunch of whimsical raccoons, anything is possible!

Welcome to the Franciscaines
Les Franciscaines, a cultural institution in the city of Deauville, a multicultural venue, is housed in a former 19th-century Franciscan convent. Magnificently restored, it has become a vibrant space of culture and creativity. Since its opening in May 2021, Les Franciscaines has housed a museum, a media library, a performance hall, a fablab, and exhibition, reading, and documentation spaces. Themes dear to Deauville—horses, cinema, performance, photography, the art of living, and youth—are showcased here. With more than 600,000 visitors since its opening, Les Franciscaines invites everyone to become an active participant, to unleash their "imagination at work," and to explore this new, innovative venue in Deauville at their own pace, thanks to its innovative scenography. Original exhibitions, in partnership with the greatest national and international museums and cultural events are scheduled six days a week and eleven months a year, including this summer's exhibitions: "Robert Capa, Icons", "Floating Worlds, from Japonism to Contemporary Art" and "André Hambourg in Venice" Les Franciscaines de Deauville invites you to enjoy a unique cultural experience!
